CIVIL ENGINEERING

This program is one of the oldest sciences and the branch deals with in-depth learning in planning and design of building, soil mechanic, bridge engineering, surveying, hydraulics etc. It is a professional engineering discipline related with progressive development of nation including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings.  Now, it is developed into several specializations including transportation engineering, architectural engineering, construction management, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, offshore engineering, quantity surveying, coastal engineering and construction engineering.

The academic programmes are designed in such a way that students get exposed to different areas of fast growing constructional aspects with advanced methods. Imparting this branch of subjects focuses on providing good hands on experience through well-equipped laboratories and ample industry oriented training.

  4. Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
  5. Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  6. Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
