The department caters to the needs of the first-year students and has English, Mathematics, Physics Chemistry Computer Science and General Workshop under its canopy. It is department where students learn to perform prodigious experiments and show their excellence. The department is involved in a number of activities like conducting seminars, workshops and guest lectures by eminent people of other universities and R&D organizations. In general workshop the students are given hands on experience in Carpentry, Smithy, Foundry, Welding, Forging and Sheet Metal The motto of the Department is to provide high quality education to students with the assistance of well-qualified, dedicated and highly motivated faculty members by means of demonstration and advanced teaching aids. .
